here she is, miss america!

before i left the house this morning to rush up to take class with ballet west, (which turned out to be cancelled...man!) i was trying to put together a good luck post for my pageant friends competing in miss america tonight. meagan, miss new hampshire, taylor, miss massachusetts, and of course mallory, miss new york. i met megan and taylor at the sweetheart pageant, and i competed with mallory for two years in new york. i had a lot of good intentions but didn't get it finished before i left. and...well...it looks like mallory didn't need any of my good luck posts to work her magic tonight. she is now, (oh.mygosh.) MISS AMERICAAAAAAAA.
i.am.freaking.out.
this girl you guys, is a laugh. i mean she makes me laugh. mallory and i competed together in miss new york in 2010 and in 2011. she got 1st tuner up and i got 2nd runner up, both times. she won miss manhattan and i won miss new york city. we were the big apple gals. and we always had the best time together. i am so very proud of you mal, you deserve every last bit of it. have an amazing year, ok? and...well, when you're in town... we would love to get your autograph.

oh the glory days! my nieces zanna and annicka. ^^

^^^the drama! the excitement! this seriously was such a fun pageant to do. this was a triple crowning pageant, one of which was miss manhattan, mallory!^^^^

^^^after miss ny 2011, daniel was so happy i didn't win. he brought my engagement ring with him (its in his pocket) and wanted to purpose right then in there...that is another story in and of itself. but long story short, i told him to wait till we were alone. phew. ^^^

henry was barely 4 weeks old when we trucked out to watch mallory win miss ny 2012. we were all there. we love that girl.
so happy!
