Happy Fathers Day + Our dinner table mess

today we celebrate the man of the house, d boy. and man do we love him! i cried during family prayer this morning, because i am just so darn thankful for him. henry and i made him breakfast in bed this morning. it was fun, although he didn't eat it in bed, we all ate in the kitchen together. but technically i did bring him breakfast in bed. done and done, check that one off the list. and, a shout out to my wonderful father, i went up to him at family dinner tonight and hugged and kissed him and said "happy fathers day, dad, you are the best father in the world" and he responded, like he does every time any of us kids say that, "well, i'm the only one you've got". yeah, well, he has a point, but he really is a special guy. i am so grateful for all he has taught me and the way he adores my mother, couldn't ask for much more.

this week we spent some quality time together as a fam. i felt like every night we had good food and good times. we had a parmesan chicken picnic in the park, ate at the local laura's mexican food restaurant and then last night we had some good ol' fashioned pizza pie cafe. daniel and i also snuck in two movie nights this week after henry fell asleep, i havent watched a movie with him in a while...it felt like we were dating again!

anyways, here are a few photos from laura's the other night. i didn't take any pictures of out food before we ate it...just have the aftermath of a one year old that is getting really good at feeding himself.
