another birthday.

yesterday we had a little get together with the american vigzul clan. why you ask, well because it is my birthday this week.

party!

we were the first ones at the park so daniel and parked the car, rolled down the windows and watched two little monkeys in the tree above us. how cool is that? monkeys?! they were kinda notty tho, eating the cute little birds eggs right out of her nest. she was furious.

anyways. the boys slept through the whole fiesta, victoria's famous tres leches cake and everything. when they woke up, everyone was packing up. but we pulled them out and made an afternoon at the park. we had such a nice time. here are some pictures to prove it.

we took about 500 pictures, so you're lucky you only got these.

happenings around here:
we went to utah and are stiiiiiil trying to recover from the two flights in 5 days. but it was totally worth it.
charles is the best bear crawler around.
henry is talking so much now. in english and portuguese. but he asked if he could nurse again last night, so he is still my baby.
and the world cup in crazy. brazilians have so much spirit. flags on every car, curbs painted green and yellow, and when the game is on- brazil is empty! everyone is either at home watching it- or at the game. seriously, the world stops. and we love the fireworks that go off after every goal.

xx

balneario camboriu.

daniel has said to me about 20 times in the last week "these are the days, hannah" as we watch henry and charles wrestle and giggle on the bed, or when we are eating pancakes again for dinner or watching charles eat applesauce for the first time, or looking at each other at 3am with a tent full of humidifiers and esstiential oils trying to keep sick babies asleep, or realizing that charles' two little bottom teeth poked through or when, without fail, henry runs to the elevator to "tiss daddy" goodbye in the morning or, or, or...

and you know something, he is completely right. these are the days. the best days. the days when we have two baby boys, and we all fit in a car, and neither son can talk back to us, and they both want as many kisses and we can give them, and they giggle at all our terrible jokes and dance moves... it's really just wonderful.

daniel and i don't believe in nights apart so when we got word last week that he had to leave for a weekend "retreat" for work. we packed our bags and went with him. charles was sick and henry was sick (but almost better) but we both figured it would be just as easy to spend all day at the beach being sick than it would being at home being sick. and, of course, we were right. we took an hourish flight to balneario camboriu.

what a blast. literally.

daniel and henry. there is something really sweet about this picture, huh? those two...
poor charles buut he loved being outside.
someone please hold on to henry-where is his mother?
this was on our boat ride the last day. after henry drank two juice boxes he decided he was sea sick and threw up four times.
we were all a mess. but this view, i mean... i think it just might have been worth it.

weekend life.

i feel like i only blog about my sundays. well, anyways i like sundays and it's the only day that daniel is completely ours, so it makes sense. yesterday we decided to eat dinner on our veranda.
it was b e a u t i f u l. the weather, ah, the weather. is crisp and sunny. i am loving this brazillian fall time thing.

after dinner we made some chocolate chip cookies and took them to a friends house. we came home and wrestled on the bed (well, just the boys did actually), read family scriptures and watched henry beat up charles and listen to charles giggle his little heart out. he is such a good sport.

our family in the elevator. notice that daniel has his utah shirt on and i am sporting a byu one, we are a millennial family.

do you get it? like we made charles and henry....
