mini rose plants

gardening is really fun for me, i am not very good at it yet, but i like doing it. all the walks around our home look about like the picture above (covered in dirt) because we are getting grass this weekend! i am seriously so excited.

i am doing a ballet competition next month for a little company here which means i have rehearsals. i love dancing and i love having little breaks now and then for some needed me time, but these mandatory 3 hour practices are killing me! my mama brain stops functioning after the second hour and all i can think about are my little boys. george is getting hungry, will charles know how to go pee pee in the toilet without me, is henry STILL playing on the stupid iPad...? as soon as rehearsal ends i sprint out to my car, pointe shoes still on and scream down the highway to get home. the boys are always just fine, but i feel this instant relief when i walk through the door and i'm home again with them. there really isn't anywhere i would rather be.

after lunch i took the boys to the greenhouse and we bought some flowering plants. we had so much fun planting! while we were planting we facetimed my mom and i was complaining about this stupid (stupid, stupid, stupid) UTI i have right now. she then told me i needed to make marshmallow root tea, henry ran into the kitchen and got a huge bag of marshmallows and came running out to show grandma, look grandma! we do have them! we all laughed.

HisDay

we had such a wonderful sunday last week. first off we made it to all three hours of church, which is getting harder to do with the more babies we have! i feel like someone is always sick around here. anyways, henry and i had an awesome lesson in sun beams (wink, wink) daddy gave a lesson in priesthood, and i met the cute new sister missionaries, one of which is from SPRINGVILLE! super
fun.

after lunch (a delicious box of american mac and cheese, thanks grandpa!) we took bananas out by our tramp and watched the monkey's eat them.

then we took naps on hammocks and cuddled with cute babies.

and then we made s'mores! the boys first time making them, they loved playing in the fire... i  mean, roasting the marshmallows. #yikes

Sisters

while we were in utah, my sweet sister had a birthday! so something you should know about my family is that we really didn't/don't do birthdays. and i completely understand why...there were NINE of us. well, i take that back, my mom always toilet papered our rooms/hallway/sometimes the kitchen, so that when we woke up we would have to tear down the TP to get out of bed. it is really one of my sweetest memories...

after the festivities we had to gather up the TP and put it the bathrooms so that it could be reused. of course. my mom was a genius.

anyways, for my sisters birthday we had her and her family over for dinner, she made us all dinner... whoops. we had such a good time. the husbands went out and bee'ed ( justin has beehives and let's
daniel tag along when we visit, daniel loves it) the girls jumped on the tramp, played cars, watched
cars and feed my boys and the two babies, george and bronson, had crawling contests that mila put
on.

but i really just want you all to know how incredible micka is. i look up to her so much and am forever grateful for the kindness, purity, and joy that she radiates. through her quite but bold example i am who i am. she is kind to everyone and has an eye single to the glory of God. she is funny, BEAUTIFUL and loving. she is 5'8" inches, she loves strawberry smoothies and long walks on the beach...wait, what?

because it was just us two amongst a whole ton of boys, we hold on tight to that sister bond. and let me tell you, that bond of ours is one of my most cherished.

love you forever and so happy to call you mine!

utah

we have been loving every second of our (short) trip to utah. my dad has had a terrible case of pneumonia and had to get lung surgery four days ago. i am so glad that i am here with him during all this craziness in the hospital, i would have been a nervous wreck if i was helpless in brazil during all of this. what a tender mercy!

poor little pumpkin. he has been a fighter this past week a and half. tonight i went to see him and he had walked seven laps around his floor strapped to his iv, tubes hanging out of his lungs, an epidural in, oxygen, compression socks etc,. he is my hero.

it wouldn't be a visit to utah if we didn't eat at cafe rio! am i right?! yesterday the kids and i took the train in salt lake city and went shopping with grandma vicki, we had too much fun.

utah is in full bloom right now. it is breathtaking.

we hiked the Y this morning! wow. no carriers and three babies. it was a workout!  we went with sam and kaori and their babes too, we went sloooowwww. the boys were so excited when we got to the top. on the way down, however, henry just could not walk and was immediately given piggy back privileges and rushed to the nearest jamba juice. i am glad to say that the orange blast smoothie solved everything.

our fleet. i am glad to call them mine.

utah, we love you.
